My Unstoppable Life Story

My name is Ifeytaya. I was born in Greenville, SC, but raised in Harlem, NY.  As the oldest of eleven children, I consistently provided love and guidance to my younger siblings.  I also have been blessed with two sons LeSean Bulow and Aaron Deck.

Because I love children so much, I also launched a successful day care center in 2002. As founder, I am still actively involved in the everyday administration and operations of the business so that it remains a viable part of my community. God has equipped me with strong leadership skills, and the compassion and sensitivity towards others to help me in the path He’s given me to walk.  Along the way, I get to encourage others and be His witness to those that cross my path.

I firmly believe this is the calling that God has given me to fulfill. I am grateful for His direction in my life.

Letter

Dear Ifeytaya,

There are so many things I want to tell you. It’s difficult to know where to start. Life can be so amazing, and yet, at the same time difficult to handle. But you are so strong to get through the bumps in the road. I sometimes say you are growing much too soon. You have so much life to give. God has a plan for you. But right now, enjoy this time in your life. Enjoy having your health because you don't have things forever. Don’t waste a second desiring to be older or somewhere else in life. Treasure this time because it goes by too quickly. You will see and experience things that will urge you to grow up too fast; don’t let them. Cherish this time in your life and live every second as fully as you can.

Prayer

Dear Father God,

I have been on my knees many times with my Bible in hand, tearfully reminding You of Your promises when my husband and I were in a dark place. Lord, the bible says: "They that wait on the LORD will gain new strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40:31 Lord, many of my prayers have been centered on my own needs for a miracle. When I had enough of my marriage, and said I had enough, I felt in my heart that I should be gone and never return. However, the trauma in my life at that time hindered my prayer life. But after I humbled myself and cried out to you, Father, You delivered me from my distress. Amen. Thank you. I love you, Lord! Your daughter.
